Noah size update

I'll fight you!

I'll fight you!

I’m planning to weigh him on Wednesday, so I don’t have any numbers.  But I can say that six-month onesies can be snapped shut, and they aren’t too tight around, but they are tight lengthwise so they pull at his shoulders.  I’ve also been noticing some red marks on his legs from his “up to 15 pounds” diapers.  He can no longer wear the last, biggest, and stretchiest 3-month old suit that I was cramming him into because it was so cute (under the bear coat in the picture- also it’s hard to squeeze him into the bear coat.)  Tomorrow, for St Patrick’s day, I’m planning to put him in a green American Apparel onesie that Debbie bought him: size 12-18 months.

Ok, Wednesday came and went… where’s the updated weight? I can’t believe how fast Noah’s growing; at this rate, he’s going to be nearly 500 lbs by the time he’s 20! And probably 8 or 9 feet tall, although I’m not sure that extrapolation is valid. Of course, I’ve been assuming linear growth of 6 lbs per 3 months… if it was proportional (66% per 3 months), he’ll be even more gigantic! You’ll never be able to pay your grocery bills.

Silly Jen! The growth of a baby is a natural occurrence, so obviously must be described using a natural logarithmic function. With this model, we can clearly see that this initial phase of rapid growth will be followed by a steadily declining rate of increase.
