one year check-up

Noah is not as heavy as he feels…

height 31 5/8 inches (88th percentile)

weight 22 lb 6 oz (35th percentile)

and his surface area is .47 square metres.  He’s pretty much on the same growth curve as always, within a normal margin of error.  He’s met all his milestones without really exceeding them, except for his walking which is slightly advanced.  So still normal and healthy.  He had been looking kind of plumper early in January, but I think he poured all that into growing taller and fighting this cold he has.

How do you calculate the surface area of a baby? Hopefully it doesn’t involve unzipping his skin…
